BUSY! The first week of school seriously kicked my behind!!! Speaking of behind, I'm behind on photos and blogging, which feels so abnormal. I need to get back into the habit of taking photos every night, editing and then blogging them, or at least a couple of times a week. It's such a great chronicle of the kids lives.
The kids have adjusted wonderfully to daycare and actually don't want to leave at the end of the day now. They are usually outside playing when it's time to be picked up and Adri can't bear to leave the swings now that she's learned how to pump and go high all by herself. She comes home every day, excited to discuss all the new things she's learned and all of her new friends. It's funny to hear her sing songs and do things that I didn't teach her. Her last two years have been spent with me, me in charge of everything she learns and does. There weren't many surprises since I worked hard to teach her what she knew. Now though, she comes home with dances, songs, and new skills that have nothing to do with me. It's sad but so exciting to see her learning all of these new things.
Sammy is doing wonderful too. He's a bundle of boy energy, which basically means he's climbing, scaling, jumping, and falling over everything that is taller than him. He's taken to trying to ride the dog, thinking the dog lays down just for Sam to lay on or play with him. He recently chipped his front tooth. We have no idea how this happened, but it was sure a surprise to find it in his mouth the other day. I almost cried. My poor little perfect boy. There's nothing that can be done either, since it's his baby tooth. Guess we're going to have to live with it til it falls out. Poor little Chippy.
