Update on all that is us...
Adri has grown about two inches in two months. She's taller than most of the kids her age and is ranging about the size of a Kindergartner. She is very tall and graceful, and everything that I am not. So, I can only assume that she inherited all these good things from her father. She has been participating in Tumble Time at her school and has decided that she wants to continue learning gymnastics professionally, instead of joining a dance class. We are going to be signing her up, it will be good for her and all of that extra energy! She has also been participating in swim lessons. She finished her first set of classes and has moved on to the next level. She's looking extremely forward to her 5th birthday at the end of the month as well as Kindergarten Round Up!!! That's right, she'll be starting school in the fall!!!
Sam Man has been busy being energetic. He has also grown about an inch in the past month or so. Soon he will finally be out of 24 month/2T pants, maybe. I think we've finally convinced him that he will only grow if he sleeps and eats his veggies. It's worked for the past week and he wakes up each morning begging us to measure him. He hasn't started any classes, but he has started talking non stop. I'm beginning to think that he might even talk more than Adri! He also enjoys playing with his cars, coloring, and chasing the cat and dog around until they hide out of fear. He's looking forward to his 3rd birthday on April 14. He's decided he wants a train, truck, airplane, boat theme. Good luck to us in trying to accomplish all of that at once. :)
Matt has been working, playing chess, and some kind of Chinese chess that I never know how to spell. He and his co-workers meet at Chinese restaurants so that they can play authentically. Matt's finally adjusted to having a cat and even admits that they are easier than dogs. Shhh...Don't tell his coworkers that I've converted him! ;)
I've been working non stop. I was recruited to be a judge at Odyssey of the Mind and gave two weekends to accomplishing that. The team that recruited me didn't win, unfortunately. It was an awesome experience and I will most likely be doing it again next year. The rest of my time (just the past two weeks) have been filled with evaluations, test giving, meetings, data review (and preparation), conferences, lesson planning, paper correcting, and sickness. Whenever I'm super stressed I always seem to end up sick. I'm really looking forward to things calming down and being able to spend Spring Break with the family, relaxing. We have no plans and that really excites me!
Here's some of the pictures from the past two months. :)
On a recent school trip to Chuck E Cheese, Sam decided to see if he could fit under the glass.
Scared out of his mind on the truck, Mommy rescued him. (After a snapped a picture!)
Adri shows that she can rock a Carrier & Gable hat, just like her Daddy...
This is what Sam Man does for fun. Organizes his card on the road he builds...
Words can't even do this picture justice...
My attempt at a photo of the two of them together... It is IMPOSSIBLE to get both of them to look at the camera at once...
Sam was not ready to leave the gardens...Daddy took him out kicking and screaming.
Adri stopped to inspect a butterfly that landed. Lucky for the butterfly I convinced her not to touch it!
This is pure Sam. I'm not sure if there was ever a picture that captured his sweet, little personality better.
Dare me to eat the butter?
I'll do it!
Adri attempts a wink...
The crab legs we had for Mommy's b-day dinner. Even Sam and Adri loved them!
