As I've mentioned, oh, about a bagillion times, I'm in the last few weeks of my two grad classes with a ton of course work looming over me (a 30 pg and two 10 pg papers due by next week, cited APA style WITH abstracts), so please forgive me for being a tad late on my blogging duties from this weekend. :)
We had a wonderful Easter! Our Easter festivities began on Saturday with an egg hunt at Victory Church (one in which Adri froze up and refused to participate when all the action started) and then egg decorating here at our house. The only casualty that came out of our egg decorating was our kitchen table that now has a robin's egg blue stain to it and a few cracked eggs as well as one that Adri mushed to see what was inside. Thanks Adri!
Easter day began with me waking the kids up to see what E.B. had left for them. Adri began eating candy the minute she woke up, commencing only at the end of the night when she fell into bed and immediately went to sleep. I'm still in awe that she didn't get sick, I waited the entire day to see how much candy she could actually eat before it all came back up, but she kept it down. Apparently it takes a lot more candy.
After checking out the Easter baskets we made our way over to Boo Boo's and P-Pa's for breakfast, more candy, and another egg hunt. This time Adri gladly collected eggs, even letting Sam Man have some of his own. She had the entire egg hunt to herself and ran around with a huge smile on her face, relishing all of the attention.
Our afternoon was spent at Nana and Papa's with immediate and extended family. It was fantastic to see everyone! Adri and Sammy had the time of their lives, playing with the adults, eating candy and sweets, and then having dinner. I'm beginning to think Adri is under the impression that people get together JUST to see and play with her, since whenever there is a get together there is always someone playing toys on the floor with her and Sammy.
Adri got lucky enough to have ANOTHER egg hunt in which all the cousins helped her look for eggs. Sidewalk chalk, bubbles, candy and a dead frog viewing later, we were all ready to say good night and get home.
Thanks to everyone for a fantastic Easter!!! We really enjoyed spending the weekend with you!

Hmmm...I think it's looking a little like rain Mama!
Come on everyone! We're going to be late...Where are you?
You are the coolest Mama, EVER! :)
I love Sammy, Mama...He's my brudder!
Wow! That's a lot of easter eggs!
Auntie Shannon and Sam Man checking out the fun!
Wow! Mary Jo! We've got a lot of eggs to collect!
My little sunshine
Even Aunt Shannon likes to decorate eggs...
Any hard task is made easier by sticking your tongue out while you complete it...
Beautiful hands! Nothing an hour of soaking won't get off...
Whachya got there Adri? Candy? I think E.B. left those eggs for both of us you know!
Sweet! You know I'll be chewing on that as soon as you put it down! Do raccoons like slobber baths?
That's more like it...My own basket. What do we have in here?
Easter egg hunt 2 at Boo Boo's...
The twins gave Adri a huge bunny...Adri was under the impression she had to consume it in one sitting...
I have a very methodical way of eating this bunny, Mom...First you eat off the eyes and nose.
Thanks for the bunny J!
Okie dokie...Done with the front. Time to eat the back now.
Final result of the bunny...Adri fell and so did the rabbit, breaking in half. We convinced her to throw it away after that (by bribing her with clean candy).
MJ with Sam Man...He LOVES to find eggs!
Adri eating MORE candy...Laugh Kyle, next time she's coming to your house after eating all that sugar! :)
This is how you open those eggs to get the candy...Just a little twist and they come apart!
My cool little Sam Man...
SCORE! Unmanned eggs with jelly beans still inside and no one watching me!
