Selfies!

We spent the weekend rollerskating and then we went to Branns with friends.   4 adults and 8 children.   It was an interesting time,  to say the least.   😊

Today we went swimming.   Adri and Sam both put their heads completely under the water!  Adri swam around the pool like a little mermaid,  excited to show off her swimming skills.  Sam found someone who actually allowed him to splash them in the kiddie pool.   On the way home,  Sam was so exhausted that he fell asleep and actually allowed me to carry him into the house,  putting his arms around me.   Another melt my heart moment!

Chuck E. Cheese

where a kid can be a kid!

I forgot to post these photos from the other week when we went to Chuck E.  Cheese  with Grandpa.

The kids had a blast using all their tokens to win tickets.   I think their favorite part might be feeding the tickets into the ticket machine at the end.   The rule is that we always split the tickets evenly,  so they know what to expect at the end.   This time Adri chose a slinky and Sam chose some sort of dart shooter.   He decided that he wanted the slinky instead when we left,  so Adri let him have her slinky and his prize!   These moments melt my heart!

Swim little fish!

We spent the afternoon swimming at Kentwood pool.   The kids absolutely love to swim,  so this was a pretty exciting activity.   At the end of the open swim,  I couldn't even get them out of the water!   Halfway through our ride home,  they were asleep in the backseat!

A first... Roller skating!

Today Sam,  Adri,  and I went on a play date with friends at Terry  Hall skating Rink.   The kids have never been skating before,  so it was quite the adventure.

Both kids had a difficult time at first,  falling a lot.   I was such a proud mommy to see them persevere and get back up each time,  no matter how many times they fell.  They both held on  to the wall the entire time,  but by the end Sam was telling me to step away and let him do it himself.

All in all,  it was a fantastic time and learning experience.  Adri can't wait to go back again.

You'll notice that all the pics are blurry,  they are from my phone and not my camera,  I was too scared I was going to fall.   😊
