Happy Halloween! (And one week beyond!)

Here we are, once again with the days and weeks flying by! This past summer, someone told me that once your children enter kindergarten the fast forward button gets pushed and time never slows again.  It would seem that is the present case.  We wake up in the morning, go through a quick morning routine, the kids leave to go to daycare, Adri then goes to school for the day and returns to daycare until Daddy picks them up and brings them home.  I often don't make it home until after 5 at which point we quickly eat dinner, give baths, and then have a short time before bed.  Wake up and repeat four more times throughout the week.  These two are growing a little more every single day and our life button is on fast forward.  Not the slow fast forward either, it's on the fast fast forward where you can't even see the scenes before they flash before your eyes.  It's so not fair.

Ready for the abundance of pictures that always proceeds any introductory paragraph in my posts?  :)  Unfortunately these pictures are only from the week before Halloween until today, but I'm pretty proud of myself that I took pictures today and am now posting them on the blog the very same day!!!

"Candy Sam" (Self given nickname!!!) helps make Halloween cupcakes.  He's very skilled in the baking area!!!

Can you say pumpkin head?

Daddy does the heavy lifting when it comes to actually filling the cupcake pan.

Candy Sam wants to be a pumpkin head too!

Adri loves chess!!!

Daddy's teaching Adri to play chess so that she can go to China and compete.

Finally got Adri to wear her vest like me!!!

Mommy came home late from work on Halloween (had to do my sub plans in preparation for my absence the next day).  Guess who ran out to my car (in the rain) to tell me it was time to go Trick or Treating?  :)

Adri pauses for a quick photo with Mama at her Halloween party!!!

What does the cat say?

Adri's first elementary Halloween party.

Adri's beloved teacher, Mrs. P.

A trip to Townsend Park today and an attempt at taking pictures of the kids.  Didn't go over so well.  No smiles, just a lot of freezing!
