The beach in October? And, it's pumpkin time!

We decided to visit Grand Haven on Friday to watch the sun set. It was an absolutely gorgeous night for it, I mean, how many times do you get August-like weather in Michigan in the middle of October?

Sunday was spent at Uncle Mart and Aunt Shannon's farm. We picked pumpkins and went on a hay ride. The kids couldn't have been happier spending time "cleaning" pumpkins, getting wet in the stock tank, and walking and playing in the dirt. We now have pumpkins galore and Adri was even able to bring enough "baby pumpkins" (gourds) to school for all of her classmates and then some.

Is it really Fall???

The past few weeks have been whirlwind. I really can't believe it's already October, the leaves are falling, and we're deciding on Halloween costumes! Before we know it the snow will be flying (and we're predicted to have an especially hard winter this year!).

Speaking of Halloween costumes, Adri has decided that she HAS to be a dinosaur, again. We are extremely lucky in the fact that her triceritops costume from last year still fits since I'm not sure where else we'd find such a cool dinosaur costume.

Sammy is going to be a dalmation, a costume that a friend's son wore last year. I can't wait to see him in it! I've held off on the trying only part because A.) Sammy melts down getting his clothing changed and I don't want him to have negative feelings toward this awesome costume and B.) I know he's going to hate it because it has a hood that goes over his head.

We will be wearing costumes to Rockford this Sunday for the Harvest Festival though. They have trick or treating and kids activities that I'm sure Adri and Sam will enjoy. The kids also have a few other activities such as Trunk or Treat next weekend and Boo at the Zoo to get use out of their costumes.

Tonight we have big plans to go to Grand Haven to watch the sun set with the kids. It should be a lot of fun, if not extremely interesting. Wonder if it will be warm enough to play in the water? Not that it really matters since the kids will play in it regardless of the temperature.

Photos to come!!!
