The past few weeks have been whirlwind. I really can't believe it's already October, the leaves are falling, and we're deciding on Halloween costumes! Before we know it the snow will be flying (and we're predicted to have an especially hard winter this year!).
Speaking of Halloween costumes, Adri has decided that she HAS to be a dinosaur, again. We are extremely lucky in the fact that her triceritops costume from last year still fits since I'm not sure where else we'd find such a cool dinosaur costume.
Sammy is going to be a dalmation, a costume that a friend's son wore last year. I can't wait to see him in it! I've held off on the trying only part because A.) Sammy melts down getting his clothing changed and I don't want him to have negative feelings toward this awesome costume and B.) I know he's going to hate it because it has a hood that goes over his head.
We will be wearing costumes to Rockford this Sunday for the Harvest Festival though. They have trick or treating and kids activities that I'm sure Adri and Sam will enjoy. The kids also have a few other activities such as Trunk or Treat next weekend and Boo at the Zoo to get use out of their costumes.
Tonight we have big plans to go to Grand Haven to watch the sun set with the kids. It should be a lot of fun, if not extremely interesting. Wonder if it will be warm enough to play in the water? Not that it really matters since the kids will play in it regardless of the temperature.
Photos to come!!!
This is my attempt to chronicle our family's daily adventures, love, and struggles.
It is my hope that one day Adri and Sammy will read these stories of their childhood and remember the love, happiness, and adoration that was poured into it each and every day. The two of them are the sunshine in my day and the happiness that has completed my life.
