Busy weekend!!!

We have had a VERY busy weekend!!!  We started out on Saturday by going horseback riding.  Grandpa H bought Adri horseback riding for her birthday.  We were all able to go.  It was a fantastic time!

Adri has been looking at a book all week about horses, and felt very prepared for her ride.  :)  She had it all planned out, she had to ride a black horse that was a girl.  She was even going to bring one of her horse figures to show them exactly what she wanted.  I thought for sure she would be riding double with either Daddy or me, but she actually ended up being able to ride all alone!!!  She was so excited about this opportunity that she she hasn't stopped asking us if we are proud of her for riding all by herself on the horse.

A sample of the horses that can be ridden...

Wow Mama!  Look at all those horses!

Adri in her heaven.  Lots of horses and she gets to ride one!!!

My big girl on a very big horse!

Have to pet Daddy's horse before we get going...

We even got to go in the river!!!

The little horse is the month old baby of Adri's horse.  They allow it to come out for th ride with their mama's.

A very serious Sam after an hour ride...

Where's the ice cream?

After our horseback ride, Adri decided that when she grows up she would like to be a veterinarian, or in her words, "I want to help animals that are hurt."  She also hasn't stopped talking about her next ride.  I think we're in trouble now.  :)  She's been obsessed with horses since she was about 2, so I can see how this obsession would take her into her adulthood.

We can hope this poor toad got away with it's life after Adri "loved" on it.

Pure bliss...

Last night we decided to go to a new park in Ada.  We went walking over at Roselle Park.  The kids were a little confused about going to a park and not finding a playground, but got over it soon after finding out they could play in the mud and trample through the swamp.  :)  I am in LOVE with this park!!!  There's barely any bikers and it's completely paved.  We'll be spending a lot of time there (or at least I will) this Summer.

A happy Sam at the beginning of the walk...

The fragrant wheat that's everywhere...The sound of the wind blowing through it is glorious...

Do I have dirt on my face?

Thanks for teaching me how to make mud golf balls Adri!!!

Highlight of the night, making mud "golf balls" and throwing them into the river.

Tonight we went to Nana's and Papa's for dinner.  Yummy, yummy blue gills!!!  The kids had a great time and I think it wore them out.  (We can hope)

Here Sam, let me help you...

Beautiful jar of butterflies!!!

Sandy and Adri are never far away from one another...

Adri and Sam have decided that the small frog is Sam and the big one is Adri...
