The kids received far too many presents, from everyone. We are all very thankful for them. Santa only brought them 6 each, although next year I think they will only be getting 3 each. Too many presents not only takes away from the meaning of Christmas, but I feel like it doesn't teach them to appreciate the quality instead of the quantity. I know I sound really cheap right now, but as I'm writing this neither of my children are playing with any of the toys they received for Christmas. Go figure.
Matt took our Christmas tree down yesterday. That poor tree has been through a lot in it's short visit to our house (falling down, forgetting to water it, Sam picking needles off of it). We were so ready to have the space back for kids toys. :) (And I was one of those Mom's who said that the kids would only be able to have their toys in their rooms because I didn't want toys everywhere. I even tried to reinforce it when Adri was younger. Yeah-look at my living room now!)
Sam Man decided yesterday would be another big day. He learned how to do "so big" in response to us saying it to him. An exciting accomplishment in parent-land. :) He's also right on the verge of crawling. When I say right on the verge, I mean that he is starting to get up on his knees and take a couple of crawls before deciding to fall back down and roll to make his life easier. :) It's all about easy in his life.
Sam has now had his helmet for a few weeks and we are able to notice a considerable difference in his head shape and flat spot. We're so excited about this and can't wait to see the final result!
