A no ornament kind of Christmas

Today was the big day, Christmas tree day! The kids are so excited to have a tree in our house that they can't stay away from it, which is precisely the reason that the tree will remain ornament free this year. After last year's fiasco of the entire tree falling down and many of our beloved ornaments breaking, we decided to get smart and just have lights, garland and candy canes. It's still a beautiful tree, if I do say so myself.

Even Max is excited to have a tree in the house...

I'm so excited I spilled coffee all over my shirt. That's right, I'm my Mommy's daughter. Don't EVER leave me unattended with coffee...
