Today was a big (sick) day in our house with both Matt and I not feeling well. We decided to have a "movie night" to just relax with the kids. Adri absolutely LOVES movie nights and begs to have them every week, so this was a special treat for her. We rented Santa Paws (one of the worst movies I have ever seen!), which kept Adri quiet for a little while because there were special "talking" dogs. The acting was horrible, but there was a 5 or 6 year old little girl who stuck out that looks very much like Adri. It's fun (and scary!) to think of what Adri will be like when she is that age.
Here's a little idea of what movie night looks like in our house (we usually haul out all the blankets and pillows that we can find, but neglected to do that tonight).

Sam decided today was going to be his big day. He began sitting up all on his own! He's been sitting up for awhile, if we sit him up. Today was the first time he actually sat himself up all on his own though. All it took was one time before he began doing it permanently. He is also very very close to crawling, if he could just figure out how to get his leg out from under him when he switches from a sitting position. I've decided that if he decides he doesn't want to begin crawling until he's one, I won't be disappointed. The longer he's immobile the easier it is for us. :)

Sam LOVES his helmet! He never protests when we've put it on and has even slept in it for naps. We have noticed that it gets very sweaty after a little wear (it's a good thing he doesn't have to wear it during the summer!), and his hair is completely wet. I'm a little nervous about that when we bring him outdoors.
I love my Sam Man and my Adri. Aorry you were all sick but a little family night sure looks like it helped one and all. Sam is so adorable and such a sweetheart you are very lucky. Tell Adri I miss her ver much. Much love to you all. Erika
