Tutu surprise!

Today started with a huge surprise for Adri...7 custom made tutus piled on Sammy's high chair, right where she would see them when she came into the kitchen.  All of them especially made just for her. And, the capability to wear a different one each day of the week...Needless to say she was beyond ecstatic.  :)  The tutu's were made by P-Pa's cousin Carol in Oklahoma.  Thank you so much Carol!!!  They are beautiful and Adri tried each and every one of them on (pictures are to follow) and danced around the house wearing them.  She is such a lucky little girl!

What can you do in a tutu? Well...

You can sit around and look cute:

You can ride your horse in them:

After deciding on which tutu she would wear today, along with an outfit that matched it, we headed to Chuck E. Cheese for our Tuesday play date with Alyse and Sara. The only way to experience CEC is to go first thing in the morning before anyone else is there. This is actually the only way I can handle going to CEC. :) (When Adri informed me today that she wanted to have her birthday there this year all I could do was laugh and say "We'll see", all the while shaking my head and mouthing "it's never going to happen!" to the person working there.)

We had a fantastic play date, won a lot of tickets, and then came home for lunch and a nap. Adri and Sam Man were super wore out from all the playing they did there, so it didn't take much to get them to sleep.

Adri takes time out of lunch for a modeling session...

There is no time out when it's meal time for Sammy...He must inspect his food before he tastes it:

Upon waking up there was a present from Grandpa on the porch, Paczki's! Adri begged to have one and began ripping into the bag. Luckily I grabbed it in time and persuaded her to wait until after dinner. She sure is quick for such a little girl!

Oh yummy! Sugar!

Come on, just a bite Mom! I promise it doesn't make you gain weight...Swear! It's only make out of healthy things!

Alright, more for me!
From Winter 2011

Yeah, uh...Disregard the sugar. It won't make me hyper and crazy later...Swear!

I do need to make sure I get all the sugar off my hands before I go wash them though...We wouldn't want to waste sugar.

What do you think Daddy? Do you like Paczki's?

We ended our night with a nice family walk and playing outdoors. Thank goodness Spring is on it's way! I can't wait until we can eat and play outdoors every day!

We did a little bike riding:

Then Adri did a little dancing I mean splashing in the streets:
