He no longer cuddles (ok, well he did for a brief moment today and I ate up each and every second) and is ALWAYS on the move. I need to watch everything he does and be behind him to keep him away from danger and trouble, which seems to find him and call out to him even when there is none to be had. Sammy makes his own trouble and can find it anywhere and in any thing. To this day I'm still wondering why we didn't give him the middle name of Trouble. Samuel Trouble...It would have fit him perfectly. ;)
I honestly think the grouchiness is coming from his molars, either that or from watching his sister and the drama that ensues when she doesn't get her own way. :) As for the trouble, I don't think that will ever end. I starting to think this is just the beginning and a slight preview of what's to come and what he's capable of.
A rundown of Sammy's day:
Woke up too early and was super grouchy. Threw himself backwards when I laid him on the changing table to change his wet diaper. Screamed, kicked, and stuck his hands down his throat until he dry heaved. Not a pretty sight.
Ate breakfast. Screamed at his sister for taking his yogurt drops.
Dressed him while he screamed, hit, and kicked his way through the process.
Went to Meijer. Sammy screamed until he got a cookie like his sister. He then mushed it up in his hands and sucked on it until it covered his face, hands, and outfit.
Played outdoors for the morning. In the couple of hours we were out there he climbed up on the kiddy chair and then the table before falling down on the ground and crying...TWICE.
Climbed up the slide the wrong way and tumbled down to the ground head first...At least two or three times.
Was splashed in the face by Adri.
Threw sand.
Got hit in the face with the swing when he walked in front of Adri swinging it.
Dumped Grandpa's dog's water down the front of him when he attempted to drink it himself.
Attempted to run away into the woods a bazillion times.
Escaped into the garage a bazillion times.
Lunchtime found him extremely hungry from his morning antics. He ate everything in sight and begged for more.
I put him in his crib for less than a minute while I grabbed his warmed bottle. I came back to find him with his leg stuck in between the railings. It wouldn't come out. When I finally did get it out it scraped his leg and left a little bruise.
Naptime
Woke up grouchier than grouchy and wouldn't let me put him down. I cuddled him for as long as he let me before he decided he had better things to do (like tearing apart Adri's train set)
Played with Adri's horse, clomping it around the kitchen and making whinnying noises like Adri does. (I attempted to videotape it but the battery was dead.) I couldn't believe he was making this kind of association and mimicking Adri so well!
Took his train off the couch and attempted to put it on the track by himself. He knows that's where it goes!
Spent the evening outdoors.
Sammy decided that he was going to stand on his horse and fell off...Twice!
Took him on a quick trip to the store to grab cereal. He screamed all the way through the store until the cashier talked to him.
Brought him home and to bed, where he's contentedly sleeping right now. :)
He had good times in between the grouchy bear moods today, laughing and giggling when I tickled him or when he was chasing or playing with Adri, but more often than not he was a bear and nothing would console him.
Today's photos are all brought to you by Sammy. Adri decided not to cooperate and wouldn't have any pictures taken. Her words were "I don't want you to take my picture. I just want to be left alone today." Sammy, on the other hand, was a willing subject. :)
Look at me Mama! I know how to ride the horse!
