You Are My Sunshine...: When they sleep...

It was a dramatic day in our house again today...Sam the Grouch was in a lot of pain from those entering molars. Poor little boy began his day by throwing himself backwards in his crib and smashing his head against the railings. He once again didn't want to be held or touched, so there wasn't much that I could do to console him beyond staying near him and keeping him on the floor. When he decided he wanted to be near his Mama he would cuddle though. :)

Adri had a few meltdowns and apologized more times than can be counted. She spent a lot of time cuddling and hugging her Mama and her friends during our play date with Freeman and Kara this morning and Tristan this afternoon. I'm beginning to wonder if other kids are as huggy as she is, they're always telling her that's enough hugs. :)

I've been able to get Adri to take a nap the past two days. I really think she needs them still. She's so emotional when she doesn't get enough sleep and it's really hard to deal with that and Sammy's teething!

We're really excited for tomorrow. We're planning on having a tea party with our friends and then heading down to Festival to meet Daddy for lunch. In the evening we're going to have a movie night and watch Gnomeo and Juliet. It's going to be a fantastic day!

Adri-isms:

Fine, I'm not talking to you then Mom. But I'll still talk to you if I want to.

Mama, I just want to be alone.

I'm sorry for yelling at you Mama. I was just frustrated that Sam was in my room.

Adri:Mama come look!
Me: Hang on Adri!
Adri: Mama look!
Me: Hang on a sec!
Adri: Mama you're breaking my heart because you won't come look!
Me: Hang on! I'm just finishing something!
Adri: Mamay you ruined my heart because you wouldn't look.

Is that pretty cool?

(Putting her hands on her hips and walking) Look, you do this all the time. This is how you walk around.

(Going through the McDonald's drive-thru)
Adri: Mom, why don't you ever let me play on the playground inside anymore?
Me: Because it's nice and I'd rather play outside.
Adri: You just drive and get the food and go home.

Mom, can you count the turns until we get home?

I love you little Sammer Man! Your my little Bud!

When they finally go to sleep they sleep hard. I can even take photos of them with full flash!!!
