Sammy was in heaven the first moment he laid eyes on what he had to have thought was a giant sandbox put there just for his pleasure. He and Adri both threw everything down and began playing in the sand just as soon as we hit it from the walkway. After coaxing them into walking down the beach and picking up all of their stuff, we found a wonderful spot and let the kids play. Adri immediately set forth playing in the sand and building things while Sammy went about splashing in the water around his ankles.
Two sunburned Mama knees as well as burnt shoulders, and three hours later, we came home and took a nap. It was perfect and relaxing. So relaxing in fact, that I'm thinking of bringing Adri back there again tomorrow. An Adri and Mama day...
