A beautiful day and another day of sickness...

What a beautiful day we were lucky enough to enjoy today! I love love love seeing the sun shine in the middle of the winter. It kind of feels like the thaw after a long freeze. :) (Even though I'm sure it's just a big tease since we're being threatened with another storm on Monday.) We decided to take advantage of the "warmth" this afternoon. I bundled the sick kids up, put them in the stroller, covered them with a blanket and went for a walk. They both really enjoyed getting out of the house since we've been holed up all week long with Adri being sick.

Adri's fever went between 101.3 and being gone for most of the day before returning with a vengeance this evening at 103.3. Of course it would return after I had called our Pediatrician to see if she needed to pay them a visit and now that they were closed. I gave her more medicine and she spent a good deal of the night whimpering and whining before her and Daddy shared ice cream together. Normally a Mama's girl, this was Daddy's lucky night because she wanted to spend the rest of the night rocking with Daddy before they went and read a story. She went to bed extremely easily tonight, saying that she was tired and needed to go to bed.

Before actually falling asleep she informed us that she needs a new, bigger bed because she is growing out of her toddler bed. I decided not to correct her and mention that she has her full size pillow, pillow pet, 18 in doll, large black lab, Build a Bear Horse and Kitty, and two blankets as well as other miscellaneous stuffed animals on there. What's the point? I'll never be right anyway and she will probably just ask me a million why's if I was to try to explain. By the way, I am in love with her new questioning/wear Mama down technique. Why? Why? Why? But why Mama? :) I could answer a million questions for her if it helps her to understand her world better.

Sam Man woke up with cold like symptoms, although I think it's just a side effect of more teething getting ready to pop through. He was a major grouchy bear all day though, lots of whining and crying and needing to be held. These behaviors are so not typical Sammy! Normally he's independent and happy, but today he couldn't even stand to be put down. Poor little baby doll, teething is hard work!

Tomorrow's the big day! I'm so excited to find out about the helmet that I can barely stand it! Hopefully tonight is his last night wearing it...

I will post side by side pictures tomorrow of his head shape to compare the three sets I have taken (before, middle, and end--if this is the end).
