Grouchy Sam Man!

Little Sam Man hasn't been himself these past few days. His normally happy, giggly self has given way to a grouchy, temperamental little boy. I'm not sure if he's teething or beginning to get an ear infection, but he's had a temperature of about 100.4 on and off and has had a hard time sleeping. He's still eating anything and everything in sight, but he's just not being normal Sammy. We're keeping a close eye on him as well as cuddling him tight, (you gotta take it when you can since he never sits still long enough to cuddle anymore)and giving him teething gel.

On another note, Adri did the most wonderful thing today. No, she didn't go poopy on the potty. :) She finally used her words instead of taking things into her own hands (which she LOVES to do). We've been working on this for what seems like forever. I keep telling her if she doesn't like something she needs to tell that person "I don't like it when..." or "I don't like that". Today Sammy was spinning her chair around. On a normal day she would hit, push, or yell at him. Today she said "Sammy, please stop spinning me. I don't like it when you do that." She then asked me to make Sammy stop. When I told her how proud I was of her for using her words instead of hitting her brother she broke out in the hugest smile, completely proud of herself. Hopefully she does the same thing the next time Sammy is bothering her.

I've also noticed this week that she's gone from having conversations between herself and a toy to having conversations between herself and multiple toys. Every time I hear her having a conversation I just have to stop and listen. She's always repeating things I've said to her or that she's overheard. Her vocabulary skills are just amazing to me. I also think it's funny that she is now giving her toys time outs and "setting the timer" like we do for her. :)

We were in the store tonight and she was saying:

"AWWWW, isn't this just beautiful Mommy? I think Sammy would like to wear this!" (A pink outfit with brown accents. He might like it but I don't think his Daddy would.)

"I absolutely love this outfit Mommy!"

"Awww...Isn't this so adorable?!"

"Oh wow! I love those shoes! You would like those Mommy!"

"I don't like skunks, they are dangerous for me!" (Referring to a stuffed animal she had picked up.)

"Aren't you so proud TO me Mommy?" (I love the to me part) :)

"I have one of these at home!" (About many things in the store--I don't know how she remembers these things, but she remembers EVERYTHING!)
