Adri missed her nap this afternoon, so of course she was in rare form the rest of the day. She decided it would be a good idea to go under the ropes at the Auto Show to get a better look at the Rolls Royce and got us a stern looking from the security guard that stood watch over the million dollars worth of beautiful, perfect cars. I'm guessing that people who own these types of cars don't also have children. It's a one or the other type of thing. :) Adri decided that the Rolls was her favorite car and that she wants one. She'd better have a good job or marry well someday.
As we were about to leave the show, I told Adri to put her coat on. She screamed "I better put my coat on before my Mommy beats me!!!" and ran away from me. People looked at us oddly, like they usually do when Adri screams out one of her accusations. Can you say embarrassed? Because lately that's one of the most overused words in my vocabulary. This child is something else, that's for sure.
When we got home from the show Adri was in total maniac mode; running around the house in circles, grabbing things, and then finally biting the tips off of her crayons. I didn't stop her, if she wants to eat them, fine. I know they'll come back out one way or another. There's a reason Crayola makes non-toxic crayons. I actually don't think she swallowed any though since crayon tips were lying on the floor near their counterparts.

This evening we went to my Mom's to "watch" the Superbowl. (Watching doesn't exactly explain what happened over there, more like tornado Adri and Sam went through the house and left their mark.) Before we left our house I told Adri to go put her shoes on.
This is what she came out with (the good news is at least they're both sparkly shoes):

I let her wear them out of the house. Whatever makes her happy and doesn't hurt someone else. I'm thinking the Punky Brewster shows we've been watching might have influenced her wardrobe choices lately.
At Boo Boo's and P-Pa's we enjoyed pizza and then ate cotton candy (that Nana and Papa had given the kids for Valentine's Day--Thanks a lot guys! Next time we come over we're bringing it and the kids to your house!). (It's ALWAYS better to give the kids sugar at someone else's house.) I'm not sure how much Adri had, but she LOVED it. Sammy on the other hand, wasn't so sure he liked the texture. He ended up throwing his on the floor and opting for P-Pa's homemade peanut butter fudge, which he devoured!

By the end of the night both kids were in total meltdown mode.

We came home and they had their bottles and fell asleep within five minutes. Mommy and Daddy are enjoying peace and quiet at this very moment (Matt's watching Inception and I'm blogging). Ahhh, the perfect Sunday.
Homemade peanut butter fudge... Sammy knows the really good stuff! Forget that cotton candy crap. :)
