Cookie Monster and I'm not crazy!

Today is the day I've finally decided to give up on forcing Adri to potty train. She obviously isn't ready and will do it someday when she finally is. I am just making myself crazy at this point when she doesn't use the potty, and that is clearly getting us nowhere.

We went to Meijer Outlet today to see if they had any of the Schleich figures (you can get them super cheap there!) and found that they had refilled the bin with all kinds of animals that we didn't already have. We bought a lot of animals to put into the box on top of the refrigerator, a box we call the "poopy box" because Adri can choose one of them when she goes #2 on the potty. (Which hasn't happened since we started the box, so I suppose that it's kind of pointless.) Adri found one particular animal she loved, a killer whale. (Most little girls love dolls, mine loves animals and goes crazy to get a new one to add to her collection.) She immediately tore the tag off of it, because that's what she does when she really loves something, and repeated over and over that she "wanted to keep the whale, that she didn't want the whale to go in the poopy box". Did I mention that she repeated it over and over (a little OCD-ish) as we were walking down the aisles, everyone looking at us like we were crazy? :) I told her over and over that we would talk about it when we got home, but she just had to know that her whale wouldn't be going into the poopy box when she got home.

Tonight, Adri was riding her Radio Flyer horse maniacally screaming "Yee Haw!" (Which sounds more like a yeeeawwww!) when she suddenly stopped, brushed her hair out of her face, looking at me and said "I'm not crazy." Just like that, as matter of fact and randomly as you can get. She then went back to riding her horse. She constantly makes me laugh, every day.

Sammy had his first Oreo cookie today. We've been feeding him solids exclusively (as well as formula) for a while now, and he thinks he needs anything his sister eats, so he was also give one to devour. I'm not sure he's ever enjoyed anything so much.

I finally took some pics of Sam Man's head to compare to the originals that I had taken before the helmet. I've compiled the originals and the pics from today into a collage. There is a definite difference in his head shape!
