Day two definitely didn't go as smoothly as yesterday. We have the peeing on the potty down, but Adri is now refusing to go poop. She had an accident yesterday and I think that it scared her into not wanting to go on the toilet.
Today was spent asking Adri if she had to go to the bathroom, preventing her from going into her room (where she would be alone to do the deed), taking turns with Matt and I sitting in the bathroom with her while she sat on the toilet or her little potty and we read her stories, running back and forth to the bathroom every time she said she had to go poop on the potty, and bribing her with Schleich animals, fruit snacks, candy, and a trip to Toys R Us to get a new toy. (None of which worked) In the end, she never did end up going poop because she refused to do it, although we had zero accidents today.
Adri and I got in a nice long nap this afternoon with lots of snuggle time. It's virtually the only time she will snuggle, so I take advantage of it when I can. I can honestly say there is nothing better in the world than snuggling with Adri and Sam. (I wish Sam wasn't too busy to snuggle these days!)
