Our friends Sara and Elyse came over this morning to play while Sara's twins were at school. Adri was so happy and excited to have her friend here to play that when they left Adri begged me to call them and ask them to come back to play again. She then said she was tired and took an early nap. Tuesday morning play dates with Sara and Elyse might need to be a weekly date. :)
Not ever being one to give up easy, I decided to try something new with potty training today. We have been telling Adri that when she goes poo on the potty she can have one of her prizes from the poop box. Since she hasn't actually gone poo on the potty in a long time, and she is only two, I think she just plain forgot what it felt like to get one of those prizes. I decided that since she has regressed so far as to not even go pee on the potty anymore that I would give her a prize each time she went pee today. Success! She even tried to go poop, although she wasn't able to get it out. It's the attempt that counts though. I'm hoping that tomorrow will be a "poop in the potty" kind of day. :) Here's a pic of the stash she gets to choose from when she goes potty...She's already made it a point to grab the horses out when she got the opportunity to loot it today.
This afternoon we went outdoors to play in the snow. Although we had a lot of fun, Sam Man got cold and needed to come inside to warm up. Not to mention that he was less than impressed with his sleigh ride. :) I think he's been teething because he hasn't really slept, has been crying a lot, and has barely eaten anything. I keep checking his teeth, expecting one to pop through and give him some relief.
Matt decided to be brave and give Adri and Sam a bath tonight, all by himself. When I came home he was beyond exhausted and only one child was sleeping. (Guess which one!)
I love this photo of Sammy and his gorgeous eyes!
