When we went to Riverside there were two male ducks attacking a female to the point of pulling out her feathers. Observant Adri watched it with her mouth open before asking questions.
"Mommy, why are they being mean to that duck?"
"Those are boy ducks Adri, they like her and want her to be their friend. She doesn't like them so much though, they're mean!"
"Oh Mommy. I don't think I like them very much either. They're beating her up! No, no ducks!"
My question is why that female duck would want to be friends with them after they've beat her up??? I know I wouldn't! :)
Here Ducky Ducky! Come here! I want to feed you!

This duck thought he hit the lottery...A huge unmanned pile of food that other ducks are too scared to approach. Score!

Why does Adri keep running at the ducks to feed them Mommy? Why doesn't she just stand in one place and throw the food?

Oh, I can't wait to teach Adri how to feed the ducks. I'll do such a great job!

This is how I would throw the food Daddy. And I wouldn't chase them while I was doing it like Adri does...

Little squirrel decided he wanted a piece of bread too and snuck up to steal it.

Adri-ism of the day:
When I go poop my stomach chews up the food and spits it out into the toilet. There's the poop.
Sammy-ism of the day:
Dah! as he holds up a piece to a puzzle.
"I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities."
~Dr. Seuss
