Adri and Sam's well child visits...

This was our big week of well child visits. Both of the kids got the opportunity to see the pediatrician this week; Adri on Tuesday and Sammy today.

Adri is weighing in a whopping 34 pounds and is now 39.5 inches tall. What all this means is that she's in the 79th percentile for her weight and the 94th percentile for her height...She's tall, slender, and really healthy! :) Adri received one shot and made sure to replay the scene over and over to me for the rest of the day. Shots are so much worse as they get older.

Sam Man, on the other hand, is a little peanut. He weighs 21 lbs (he's only gained one pound since his nine month well child!!!) and is 30.75 inches tall. His weight is at the 30th percentile, and his height is in the 79th percentile. (At a year Adri was 24 lbs (90 %) and 31.5 inches (95 %)...Much bigger than Sammy!) Our pediatrician assured me that his weight is okay since he's still following his curve. I'm still not sure how he didn't gain at least five pounds since his last visit since all he does is eat, CONSTANTLY! It looks like he's going to be just like his Daddy was as a child (and still is), tall and skinny. Lucky boy! Sammy received three shots, a lead test, and an iron test. He screamed like a girl when they gave him his shots and continued until we left.

Tomorrow is Sammy's big day! We'll be celebrating his first birthday. Adri has already let us know that she will help Sam open his presents by just opening them a little bit and then letting him open them the rest of the way. Hopefully she still feels so kind tomorrow.
