Happy 1st birthday Sam Man!

Today is Sammy's special day, he's one whole year old!!! I can't believe it's already been a year! His happiness and laid back personality as well as his comical actions have made us feel so blessed. I can't imagine our lives without or before him...Happy Birthday little man!

Yesterday, I tried to put Sammy down on the ground. Instead of sitting down like he usually does, he stuck his little legs out and stayed standing. He was so proud he broke out into a huge smile and started clapping for himself. After that he kept standing up unassisted. I swear, he does something new every day (and it's usually a huge surprise to us!)!

Yesterday was also the first time Sammy tried his new trick, going down the slide head first, alone. I just about had a heart attack while Matt stood there laughing, catching him only when he got to the bottom. Sammy and Adri joined his laughter by adding in their own little high pitched giggles and shrieks of happiness. This activity went on and on until I decided to walk away and not watch anymore. If I make it through their childhood in one piece I'm going to be really surprised. :)
