We spent this Wednesday morning outdoors at the Gardens with Aunt Bonnie, playing in the sand and water. Aunt Bonnie was nice enough to even get into the sand and play and dig with Adri. (I hope your jeans come clean! I'm pretty sure Adri's pants aren't going to!) :) We had so much fun with Aunt Bonnie and can't wait for her to come visit again.
After we came home this afternoon, Sammy's eyes were even redder than they have been for the past few days, so I brought him for his first non-scheduled pediatrician visit. Outside of this visit he has only seen the pediatrician for well child visits. (Adri's only seen the pediatrician for one non-well child visit in her 3 years! I think Sammy will end up visiting much more before he turns 3!) He had rubbed his eyes at the Gardens while we were in the sand box and I was worried that he had sand in his eyes when he began screaming while eating lunch and rubbing them again.
Luckily, our visit proved nothing to be wrong other than the possibility of allergies. Sammy is back to normal and looking for some more trouble to get in to.
Here's our day in photos:
Adri and Sam watched The Red Balloon 3 times today! http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi770180121/ I had to watch it when I was younger in my CCD class and remember it fondly. When I found it on Netflix this morning I didn't think in a million years that the kids would like it. There are no words and it's a foreign 1950's movie. I was SO wrong! Adri's been begging to watch it all day.
Sammy enjoys the movie for the first time:

What's wrong Mom? Are you surprised that I like this movie? I can enjoy a foreign award winning movie with the best of the intellectuals:

Adri, don't touch those! We're going to get in big trouble if you break them!

Hang on Mom, I'm trying to remember the scientific name for this plant.

This might be a good tool to annihilate Adri's sand castle she's building over there...

This new walking thing means that I can also climb easier...Awesome!

Bonnie, I think there's a dinosaur way way in the sand! Let's dig!

I'm a little thirsty, I think I'll try drinking this sand puddle here. Mmmmm!

Dirty? Who's dirty? Not me!!!

Another drink never hurt anyone...

Who said my name? Is someone calling me?

No? I'll continue playing in the water then.

I really just like how the gravel coats my throat as it goes down...

Yeah, the fun had to end sometime...I couldn't play in that puddle all day, huh?

La, La, La...Playing alone again...Where's my sister when you need her?
