Hagar Park

We spent our afternoon playing at Hagar Park (in Jenison) with Nana enjoying the green, green grass, warm sunshine, and other people's bubbles. :) Sammy was in love with finding the perfect wood chip and/or stick and throwing them down the openings in the sewer. Adri played the entire time only stopping to go to the bathroom and when I bribed her with Bug Juice to leave and go home. All in all it was a very successful playground trip.

This evening we went to Boo Boo's for a cookout and a little rock turning to find bugs. What girl doesn't love turning over every rock available to look for large bugs to keep in their bug barn? Adri is my little tomboy, she doesn't play with dolls. Give her an animal or a bug and she will be happy for hours though. Give her another kid to chase or wrestle and she's even happier. Allow her to do both in one night plus skip a nap and you get an extremely tired little girl who doesn't argue about going to bed that night. ;)

Look Mama! I found a big stick!

Nana tries to convince Adri to drink her milk after she didn't eat her hamburger. "But Adri, it has just as much protein as your hamburger..."

Adri's new adorable haircut...I think I went a little crazy with the shortness of the bangs, but I can't stand her hair in her face! :)

I can climb just like the big kids! Too bad if they have to step over or walk around me because I'm slower, I can still do it!

Hmmmm...What should I do next?

Yeah! I found something to throw things into!!! This park is SO fun!

You know I'm having fun and concentrating because my tongue is sticking out.

Now for something bigger...I'll try throwing a stick down there and see what happens...

I'm on a mission to find a stick, preferably one that will scare Mom and Nana when I fall.

Adri-isms:
I am waiting patiently for you to give me an m&m Mama. Do you see me?

I'll calm down if you read me another story.

It's no fair!

You're my baby forever and ever Mama.

Sam-isms:

Dri-Dri! (Adri)
