Finger painting!

Today was a beautiful day in the neighborhood, and everywhere else. :)

We attended our friend Jackson's birthday party, which seriously rocked the house. I wish I was as good at party planning as my friend and her hubby. She began the festivities by sending out birthday invites of rabbits that actually came out of the hats. The birthday party had a magician, pinata, and lots of screaming, wild, giggly kids that had the very time of their lives (including Adri). From the looks on the parents faces, they had just as good of a time.

When we got home later in the afternoon it was too late for a nap for either kid (although Mommy was in desperate need), so we ate outdoors and then finger painted the rest of the night away. This was Sammer's first time finger painting, so a lot of it ended up in his mouth. By the end of the activity he had actually gotten the hang of painting with a paintbrush though. Best idea I ever had was finger painting outdoors where I can just spray everything off. :)

Adri's morning was spent making castles of blocks...Unfortunately Sammy was always close and tore them down quickly.

Sammy has to taste everything before he can use it for it's intended purpose.

Adri has to get her painting just right...Which of course requires concentration and her tongue sticking out. :)

Ok, lots of paint consumed and the paintbrush has been tasted. It's time to paint!

Look at me Mommy! I don't get messy and I don't cry!

I don't want to put my pajamas on Dad! Ok, then. It's my choice!

Sammy-isms:

(Mimicking me as I say Adri) A-di!
